Construction work has commenced at the ACERO Dohuk Housing Complex. The work includes the laying of foundations for the construction of a new community hall and supermarket on the site. Our Dohok Chapter is also enhancing pipe and drainage infrastructure at the facility. The Housing Complex, the largest single project embarked upon by ACERO since its founding, provides cost-free accommodation to Assyrians internally displaced from the major Iraqi conflict zones of Baghdad, Mosul (Nineveh) and Kirkuk.

Aside from its ongoing tenants, the Complex has taken in many families displaced from Mosul and the Nineveh Plains and as such great strain has been placed on its existing infrastructure.
