The forced exodus and displacement caused by recent conflict in Iraq has seen thousands of children torn from their schools and deprived of a vital education.

We believe that education is a human right and no child should have to go without a pathway to a successful future.

Therefore, it is with pride that we report here the founding of the Shlama School in Diana, Northern Iraq. 67 students from displaced Christian families will continue their education in this institution under the leadership of The Rev’d Fr Yatron Younan Dawood.

With ACERO’s support, all school supplies for the new school were distributed to students and staff on 10 February 2015. These supplies included books, various stationary items, classroom equipment as well as a computer and printer to meet the immediate needs of the school.

This is the fruit of your support and donations. Please continue to help those most in need by visiting theacero.org/donate
